Singer and actress and writer Jana Kramer rose to fame on television where she joined the team in One Tree Hill as Alex in its final three seasons. She signed a contract with Elektra Records during this time and dropped the country-rock single "I Won't Go Down" in the show's episode. The track was later added to Jana Kramer, her debut album that debuted in 2012. The track ranked fifth among Billboard Top Country Albums. She remained focused on her career in music afterward, she did not stop acting. Kramer appeared in movies like Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016 that would draw the attention of her fans. Kramer's second album Thirty One was released by Warner Music Nashville on October 15th, 2015. I Got the Boy (a Top Five Country hit) as well as Steven Tyler's duet with Aerosmith made the album a hit on its place in the Billboard 200 chart at number 10. It also made it to number three in the country albums charts. Beginning in September of 2016, she spent two months participating in season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, and finished with a fourth place. That year she also had an adult-oriented hit song featuring the song "Feels Like" Christmas featuring Straight No Chaser.
